BA FINE ART PRIZE APPLICATION

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Eligibility: The Art Academy BA Prize is open to UK and EU entrants who have the right to study in the UK and will not require a student visa at any point during the duration of the programme. You must be able to enrol on the BA (Hons) Fine Art to start in September 2020, and you must be at least 18 years old when the course starts. You must be able to commit to studying full time (3 – 4 tutored days per week, plus at least one further day of independent study, for three years) or part time (2 tutored days per week, plus up to one further day of independent study, for six years) for the duration of the programme.

English language requirements: All entrants are required to demonstrate an appropriate level of English language competence to study with us. This can be through previous study in English (evidencing an approved English language qualification at Level 2, GCSE or equivalent). If you are unable to provide evidence of a relevant, formal English qualification, we will require specific performance in written English tests during the shortlisting stage. Appropriate level of spoken English is assessed at interview.

Closing Date: The closing date is 5pm on 26th January 2019: you must have completed the application form, paid the non-refundable £15 entry fee and submitted a digital portfolio of work by this deadline.

Allocation: The Prize will be awarded on Thursday 20th February 2020 to one entrant who meets the eligibility criteria and has successfully completed the shortlisting process. All reasonable attempts will be made to reach the selected winner via the email address provided with application. If we cannot reach the winner within two weeks of this date, we reserve the right to withdraw the offer and select another entrant. The winner will be required to provide suitable education and/or employment referees and complete the Academy’s usual application process: you will be sent an offer letter, the Terms and Conditions (contract) which you will need to sign and copies of the Student Handbook, Programme Handbook and Academic Regulations. By accepting the Prize, you agree to abide by our Academic Regulations and Policies. If you are unable to provide suitable referees and complete the application process, you will become ineligible to win, and another entrant will be selected in your place. Entrants’ personal data will be used in accordance with data protection legislation in the UK. The winner will be announced on the Art Academy London website, social media and other marketing channels. We are unable to contact unsuccessful applicants; if you have not been contacted by 20th February 2019 you have not been successful.

Withdrawal of scholarship: We reserve the right to withdraw the Prize from anyone who is found to have misled Art Academy London about any aspect of their eligibility and to seek repayment of the full scholarship. By accepting the Prize, you agree to abide by our Academic Regulations and Policies and if you fail to do so at any point during your period of study this may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship. If a student is no longer able to study on the BA Fine Art programme as detailed under the eligibility section above, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
