This course is an ideal way to explore a wide variety of artistic methods and media, learn new artistic skills, and discover what you enjoy most. Students work across the different disciplines of:
Throughout the course, students will have a chance to improve observational drawing skills, experiment with sculptural techniques, develop fundamental painting skills and have an engaging introduction to printmaking.
This Beginner course is aimed at those who are looking to step into the art world and gain a basic understanding of different practices. You will be able to develop new skills, experiment with materials and explore creative ideas. This course is a great way to try out different mediums before committing to one of our specialised courses.

All attendees must be aged 18 and over.
Choose a Beginners course if you are looking for a broad introduction to the medium you are studying. Students spend time learning the very basics of the taught medium, for example, how to mix colours, use different tools, set up an easel. Our Beginner courses are suitable for students with no prior experience, they tend to follow a more structured path than our other courses, ensuring each student receives the guidance they need from the tutor.Beginner
