Tutors – Sculpture & 3D
CJ MAHONY
CJ studied Sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art and completed her MA at Camberwell College of Art in 2012. She is known for creating large immersive environments that seek to unsettle, and small-scale objects that mimic and pretend.
In 2010 she co-founded Aid & Abet, an artist run project space in Cambridge, which she co-directed until 2014. CJ’s practice explores stability, impermanence, and space via the distinction between sculptural object and immersive environment. She has undertaken a large number of publicly funded commissions, has work in public and private collections, and has exhibited extensively across the UK.
Recent projects include ITV creates, LND WMN with TATE and Mayor of London, A Woman’s Place at Knole House, and these restless objects New Hall Art Collection, Cambridge.
