Hazel Reeves is a specialist portrait sculptor working to commission.
Currently she is working on a 7ft 4in bronze of Sir Nigel Gresley, the eminent railway engineer responsible for the record-breaking steam locomotives, The Flying Scotsman and The Mallard.  The statue will be unveiled on the Western Concourse at King’s Cross Station on the 5 April 2016, 75 years after Sir Nigel’s death.
Hazel has received prestigious awards, is on the Council of the Society of Women Artists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, exhibiting her work at London galleries and across the South of England and beyond. Hazel is also the sculptor working on the Hove Plinth project with the Hove Civic Society.
Hazel lives in Brighton but has a studio in Billingshurst and enjoys teaching portraiture at the Sussex Sculpture Studios, Phoenix Brighton and the Art Academy.
