BIO

Liane Lang studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths College and the Royal Academy Schools, graduating in 2006. She was born in Munich and lives and works in London. She holds a Certificate in Adult Education and has been teaching at BA and MA level since 2007. She currently teaches at London College of Communication, at University of Greenwich and is visiting lecturer at the Royal Academy Schools.

Lang works in multiple media. Her work investigates statuary, historic interiors and monuments, which she interprets and transposes through interventions, which are often irreverent. Her work is based in significant historical research. She has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad including Kunstwerke Berlin, The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the Saatchi Gallery. Her work is held in a number of notable collections including MoMA and the Victoria and Albert Museum, Saatchi, Deutsche Bank and many others.
