Tanya Russell ARBS is the founder and Principal of The Art Academy.

Tanya has been sculpting for over 30 years and was originally trained by her parents, Lorne Mckean and Edwin Russell, both renowned sculptors. She has completed many public and private commissions nationally and internationally, including 4 large public commissions in London. Tanya exhibits across the country, most recently at the Chelsea Flower Show 2015. She particularly focuses on creating artwork that depicts animals and their welfare, and uses her artwork to raise money for charities such as Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Tanya is the author of ‘Modelling and Sculpting the Figure’.

She lectures and has been invited to judge upon competitions around the country, including at the Chelsea Arts Society.
