    This is a wonderful next step for those with basic drawing skills to explore drawing further through an exciting thematic approach. This course is ideal if you have completed our Drawing for Beginners: Stage 1 course or already have a basic understanding of the Drawing medium.

    Each week you will use inventive drawing methods to investigate a variety of themes such as:
    – Rhythm
    – Expression
    – Observation
    – Reflection
    – Mood
    – Energy

    This is a fun and creative approach to developing ideas and processes in drawing. Learn new skills in mark making and self-expression, using a range of starting points such as the life model, still life, and natural forms.

    After completing this course we recommend signing up to Drawing: Stage 3.

    Course Code: EC2302009 Tutor: Zoe Toolan Course Dates: Tuesdays, 9th January - 26th March 2024 Days: 11 Times: 6.30pm - 9.00pm Experience Level: Ages 18+, Beginner+ Fee: £375 Recommend booking before: Tuesday 19th December 2023 From: £375.00

    This course will teach a range of drawing skills and develop your understanding of the structure of the human figure. You will study and portray the relationship between figure and space, exploring different themes each week, including:

    – Line & Tone
    – Measurement
    – Movement
    – Anatomy
    – Composition

    You will be encouraged to explore your own approach to drawing and work through a series of exercises whilst using a wide range of materials including charcoal and graphite. This course teaches basic skills and expressive drawing techniques in a unique way to develop your drawing most effectively. Suitable for more experiences drawers or those who have completed our ‘Drawing for Beginners: Stage 1’ course.

    When you have completed this course, we recommend signing up for our Drawing Anatomy course to develop your understanding further.
