Over five weeks, experience the vibrant medium by learning the fundamentals to a level where you are able to begin expressing your creative potential. Understand tone, colour theory, approaches to portraiture and landscape painting through practical studies and exercises, resulting in developing a personal project and complete work using the knowledge developed throughout.

This course aims will nurture self-confidence and enjoyment of painting in a stimulating, fun and relaxing environment. It is an ideal course for beginners as there is plenty of guidance from the tutor.

Course Code: EC2301115 Tutor: Various Course Dates: Mondays, 25th September - 4th December 2023 Days: 10 Times: 6.30pm - 9.00pm Experience Level: Beginner Fee: £325 Location: Art Academy London, 165A Mermaid Court, SE1 1HR £325.00This course is an ideal way to explore a wide variety of artistic methods and media, learning new artistic skills, discovering what you enjoy most, and developing creative ideas. Over the ten weeks, students work across the different disciplines of painting, sculpture, drawing and printmaking. Throughout the course, students will have a chance to improve observational drawing skills, along with more expressive sculpture and painting. Students will also learn to approach the human figure through drawing, painting and sculpture, before rounding off the course with an introduction to printmaking. This is a great ‘taster’ course and an excellent opportunity to develop new skills, explore materials, and have fun.
