Etching: Etching: Aquatint, Sugarlift and Spitbite

You’ll concentrate on aquatint (tonal etching) in its various forms. You’ll develop a composition through line and tone by multi-etching a zinc plate in a mordant of saline sulphate.This course is flexible, allowing you to work at your own speed – and if you’ve attended this course before, you can work on your own individual etching projects. The course fee covers materials including two zinc etching plates.
We run a series of print drop-in sessions on Wednesday evening and Saturday during the day, giving you the opportunity to further develop your printmaking skills.
The studio is a low-toxic environment with dedicated printmaking facilities for professional hands-on learning. Students benefit from the diversity of attendees, taught by internationally renowned printmaking artists at a central location, offering a unique educational experience in London.
