Access to specialist materials and facilities improve technical skills, and discussion and presentation sessions build confidence and critical understanding. Young Artists: Fine Art Workshop

The programme is taught by specialist tutors who are also professional, practicing artists. Access to portrait models and contemporary painting and sculpture techniques provides a unique opportunity to develop new skills. Students develop their painting style encompassing portraiture and mixed media abstraction, along with two days of exploring different sculpture techniques. This is an ideal course for those studying arts subjects who wish to develop coursework, create new work for their portfolio, develop new techniques and skills, and further existing abilities in a professional art school environment.

Young Artists: Graphic Novels and Comics
Course Code: SC2204121 Tutor: Chris Geary Course Dates: Monday - Friday, 7th - 11th August 2023 Days: 5 Times: 10.00am – 5.00pm Experience Level: Ages 14-16, All Levels Fee: £365 Location: Art Academy London, 165A Mermaid Court, SE1 1HR £365.00This five-day course encourages students aged 14 to 16 to use traditional and digital techniques to create pages for comics and graphic novels, including character design and development, visual storytelling, colouring and lettering. By the end of the course, students will have produced at least two full-colour pages of comic-strip art.
