Zines allow you to create personal stories and have lots of fun! On this one-week course you will experiment with different ways of imagining and creating stories, exploring a variety of genres. You will learn to draw and develop appealing characters and experiment with comic formats like composition, layouts and text, whilst using different materials. By the end of the week you will have developed a range of skills which will set you up on your career as a comic zine artist! And one with a range of your own unique comic zines!

Young Artists: Fine Art Workshop
Course Code: SC2204020 Course Dates: Monday - Friday, 21st - 25th August 2023 Tutor: Usva Seregina, Annabel MacIver Days: 5 Times: 10.00am – 5.00pm Experience Level: Ages 15-17, All Levels Fee: £365 Location: Art Academy London, 165A Mermaid Court, SE1 1HR £365.00An inspiring five day course for ages 15-17 providing a skills-based experience and expert tuition in a range of materials and techniques. The programme is taught by specialist tutors who are also professional, practicing artists. Access to portrait models and contemporary painting and sculpture techniques provides a unique opportunity to develop new skills. Students develop their painting style encompassing portraiture and mixed media abstraction, along with two days of exploring different sculpture techniques. This is an ideal course for those studying arts subjects who wish to develop coursework, create new work for their portfolio, develop new techniques and skills, and further existing abilities in a professional art school environment.
