COURSE CODE: TAS2401T06

COURSE DATES: Sunday 1st December 2024

TUTOR: Adele Williams

DAYS: 1

TIMES: 10:00am - 4:30pm

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Ages 18+, Beginner

FEE: £95

LOCATION: Bankside Campus, 185 Park Street, SE1 9BL

Join this workshop to make a beautiful ceramic Christmas wreath for your home. Make, decorate and paint your own wreath that will last forever.

This one day workshop will start with making the base from a slab of clay, forming the foundation of your wreath. We will have various templates for the bases, with the largest size being 10 inches across. Then the fun really starts as you roll out and model a variety of decorations. You can choose to make any small decorations that will be added to the flat base, building up a composition of your own design. Whether it be something traditional, modern or personal – you can decide. We will have some templates to cut around, but feel free to bring cookie cutters or small templates to use if you have an idea in mind.

The afternoon will be spent ensuring everything is well joined and adding colour with pigmented slips. Your piece will then stay with us for 2 weeks to be fired and glazed before you can take it home.

Beginner

All attendees must be aged 18 and over.

Choose a Beginners course if you are looking for a broad introduction to the medium you are studying. Students spend time learning the very basics of the taught medium, for example, how to mix colours, use different tools, set up an easel. Our Beginner courses are suitable for students with no prior experience, they tend to follow a more structured path than our other courses, ensuring each student receives the guidance they need from the tutor.

All materials will be provided, please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
