Our new campus at Bankside will have 9 purpose built teaching studios including a ceramic, print and digital suite, a gallery, and auditorium all fully accessible for disabled visitors. Overlooking Tate Modern, in one of the world’s most iconic destinations for art and culture.

The Art Academy is a charity founded by artists to meet the need for a skills based art education in the UK. We receive no support from the government and are relying on the support of our community to help transform our facilities and build our offer of subsidised arts education. Every donation we receive, however small or large, will make a tangible difference to our students and is vital to our mission of lowering the thresholds to art education.

Supporting Our Work

Your donation enables us to widen the reach of our unique art education through our rich programme of outreach work:

• Offer and increase the number of bursaries for our academic courses, enabling artistic excellence to be achieved by students from all walks of life.
• Provide local schoolchildren with free places on our Young Artists courses.
• Continue to run free weekly online art classes, open and accessible to all levels.
• Support art teachers nationwide through free professional development courses at a time of government underinvestment in art education.
• Provide free tuition to local charities working with disabled artists.
• Provide low cost studio space for artists in zone 1, as well as subsidised exhibition space.
