This immersive weekend of life drawing is ideal for those eager to delve into the intricacies of the human form. Designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of the human figure from an anatomical perspective, this course is accessible and open to all levels. This specialised class combines precision and an opportunity to understand the body’s structure and movement.

Through practical exercises and detailed studies, the tutor will guide you through:

  • Working from a life model
  • Structure and proportion
  • Tone and volume, exploring the muscular system through a variety of poses

Throughout this course, you will build confidence in integrating musculoskeletal knowledge and observational skills to produce accurate drawings of the human figure. The exercises will provide skills in identifying and utilising anatomical landmarks to enhance drawing accuracy, and create proficiency in making tonal drawings that convey volume and depth.

After completing Drawing Anatomy, you may be interested in joining one of our weekly drawing classes, or using an alternative method to portray the human form in our Figure & Portrait Sculpture course.
