Join us for this fun 1-day introductory taster in Monoprint. Monoprinting is a form of printmaking where the image can only be made once, and therefore each print is completely unique. Guided by an expert printmaker, you will be introduced to various monoprint tools and methods to explore the possibilities of Monoprinting and create beautiful prints.
Throughout this Taster Day you will learn:
- The possibilities of Monoprinting and creating images
- How to plan and draw your designs to create beautiful monoprints
- Use a variety of specialist printmaking equipment and materials
- The range of other printmaking processes on offer at Art Academy London
This popular course is a fantastic introduction to the Print Room, while exploring how to make exciting and spontaneous prints.

All attendees must be aged 18 and over.
Choose a Beginners course if you are looking for a broad introduction to the medium you are studying. Students spend time learning the very basics of the taught medium, for example, how to mix colours, use different tools, set up an easel. Our Beginner courses are suitable for students with no prior experience, they tend to follow a more structured path than our other courses, ensuring each student receives the guidance they need from the tutor.Beginner

FREDERIC MORRIS
Following a First Class Honours Degree in Illustration from Middlesex University in 2007 Frederic went on to study Fine Art Printmaking at the Royal College of Art, where he received his MA in 2009. Frederic has shown continuously throughout the globe and has picked up numerous prizes for his printmaking and drawing skills.
Students are welcome to use our Common Room during break times, where you can prepare hot drinks and/or food.
You are also welcome to make tea or coffee.
