This course focuses on the uniqueness of manga style illustration, and teaches students how to make their pages come to life  within the limitations of monochrome. We will explore how to express our character’s emotions effectively, and learn the important basics of figure drawing. Students are encouraged to use the traditional approach to ‘draw and plan’ pages before finalising their work in digital form using Adobe Photoshop.

At the end of the course students will feel more confident creating manga illustrations and will leave with at least two pages of a completed manga project.
